Why Lawmakers Are Trying To Block A Delivery Of Fighter Jets To Turkey

Turkey is scheduled to get its first delivery of F-35 jet fighters next week, but lawmakers on Capitol Hill are moving to block it, because Turkey is also considering buying Russia’s most advanced anti-aircraft system. The concern is that Russia and Turkey would together figure out how to shoot down the F-35, the world’s most advanced fighter.
